the Northern tiles pattern out now…

Well here it is ! The third edition of my mosiac tiles patterns. As previous Medina mosaic tiles and the Tibet tiles, this third one is also inspired on a region of our world. And as the title says, we’re traveling to the North part of our world. And when I think about the North i immediately think of the Northern lights, snow, stars and the colors used in this blanket. I tried to capture all of it in this design and I hope you like it !

Hier is ie ! De derde editie in mijn mozaïek tegeltjes patronen. Net zoals voorgaande Medina mosaic tiles en de Tibet tiles is ook deze derde editie geïnspireerd op een regio van onze wereld. Zoals de titel al doet vermoeden reizen we naar het Noordelijke deel van onze wereld. En bij het Noorden denk ik direct aan het Noorderlicht, sneeuw, de sterrennacht en de kleuren gebruikt in dit patroon. Ik heb geprobeerd alle elementen in deze deken te vangen en ik hoop dan ook dat je hem mooi vindt !

 

Let’s explore the tiles individually. The design of them is all the same, however the chosen colors are carefully chosen in five combinations.

Laten we eerst de tegeltjes eens individueel bekijken. Het ontwerp in iedere tegel is hetzelfde, echter zijn de kleurkeuzes heel bewust en specifiek gekozen in vijf combinaties.

Tile 1 : Solar Storm – inspired on the storms high in the sky which forms this delicate combination of purple and pink.

Geïnspireerd op de stormen hoog in de lucht welke een prachtige combinatie van roze en paars opleveren.

Tile 2 : Aurora Australis – this tile is based on the same northern light, only the one happening at the other side of our planet. This one is called the aurora australis.

Dit tegeltje is gebaseerd op het noorderlicht, maar dan de versie aan de andere kant van de wereld. Dit fenomeen noemen we aurora australis.

Tile 3 : Polar night : well this one doesn’t need a real explanation right ? The deep and dark blue sky in winter time around the pole is the inspiration for this amazing color combination.

Eigenlijk heeft deze geen uitleg nodig toch ? De diepe en donkerblauwe lucht in de winter rond het poolgebied vormde de inspiratie voor deze kleurencombinatie.

Tile 4 : the Northern Star – bright and shiny in the cool and misty moonlight the northern star stands high above the snow around the deep and dark pole nights, just giving you a glimpse of the green treetops. This serene colors we’re chosen for this idea.

Helder en stralend in het kille en mistige maanlicht schijnt de noorderster hoog in de licht boven het sneeuwlandschap in de diepe, donkere poolnacht. Met een glinstering geeft hij net wat licht op de donkergroene toppen van de bomen. De serene kleuren zijn gekozen voor dit idee.

Tile 5 : Aurora Borealis – well everyone knows the typical green light of the northern lights. Well i tried to capture that green in this tile.

Iedereen kent het typerende, groene licht van het Noorderlicht. Dat is wat ik heb geprobeerd te vangen in dit tegeltje.

Caro’s Atelier – the guy with the hook kits

The size of a finished square is : 17 x 17 cm /  6,7 inches x 6,7 inches

The size of the finished pattern with border will be : 90 x 90 cm / 35,5 inches x 35,5 inches

Het formaat van een tegeltje is : 17 x 17 cm en het formaat van de deken met rand zal zijn : 90 x 90 cm.

Maybe you think it is a bit small, and your right about that. But you can easily let this pattern grow by making more tiles. The individual needs for a tile are also in the pattern and the colors are placed so you could continue enlarging it. The border is written to apply on any size so nothing holds you back to make it larger.

Misschien vindt je de deken een beetje klein…klopt helemaal. Maar je kunt hem zo makkelijk groter maken door het maken van meer tegeltjes. De individuele gegevens voor een tegeltje staan ook in het patroon en de kleuren zijn zo bepaald dat je gewoon tegeltjes kan toevoegen en hem uitbreiden. De rand is ook beschreven voor ieder formaat deken en dus is er niets dat je in de weg staat om dit te doen.

Stitch use in the pattern is very basic as it is from ss – dc and just some front loop and back loop crochet. Also good to know is that the pattern holds a written version guided with photos and there is a chart for the tile in the pattern.

Het stekengebruik in de deken is echt basis. Je gebruikt een halve vaste tot een stokje en je werkt in voorste of achterste lussen. Ook belangrijk om te weten is dat het patroon een geschreven versie is met foto’s. Maar er is ook een diagram aanwezig van de tegel om te haken.

Alright, time to mention the most important thing of this release. Where to find the pattern ?  There are several languages available of it in my regular stores on Ravelry or Etsy. Once you purchased it you’ll receive a PDF file to download. Please be aware when buying it on Etsy that you take the right language listing. As Etsy listings can hold up to five languages, sometimes patterns are divided over several listings as their are more languages. In the title of each listing you can always see which languages they hold.

Oke, tijd voor het belangrijkste deel van deze release. Waar is het patroon te vinden ? Er zijn verschillende talen beschikbaar in mijn standaard verkooppunten welke mijn Ravelry shop en mijn Etsy shop zijn. Wanneer je het patroon aankoopt ontvangt u een digitaal PDF bestand om te downloaden. Let er echter op bij Etsy dat u de juiste taal listing aan klikt ! Omdat listings van patronen op Etsy slechts vijf talen kunnen bevatten kan het voorkomen dat er van één patroon meerdere listings te vinden zijn. Echter in de titel staat altijd vermeld welke talen een listing bevat.
