Part 8
In the eight part of this CAL it is time for a more simple and elegant touch. As the blanket is at this point almost closed when it comes to stitch work, I felt it would be nice to have some more air and a more open lace stitch in it. Besides that the design of this part is a real common type of wall design around market places. Stone walls which cover up a souk or market are many times decorated with open spaces in a continues pattern. And even more fun at this part as most of the Rounds will all be made out of 1 color. In the next Round you will skip 4 sts before the repeat section on a side. You will skip the fifth and sixth dc and the first and second sc of the first 5sc-gr before starting the repeat section. After the repeats you will again skip 4 sts. This time you’ll skip the fourth and fifth sc of the last 5sc-gr and the first and second dc you encounter after that. In the repeats you just skip 5 sts along.
Round 7 : CH1 (doesn’t count as st), * {1SC-CH2-1SC} in ch2-sp, 1SC in next 4 sts, sk 4 sts, CH5, 1SC in next st, (CH5, sk 5 sts, 1SC in third st of next 5sc gr) 39 times, CH5, sk 4 sts, 1SC in next 4 sts. Rep from * 3 more times. SS in top of first st, SS to next CH2-sp. [4 sides of 50SC/ 41 times a CH5-sp and 4 times a CH2-sp]

Round 9 : Take Color D (F) and attach it in any ch2-sp. CH5 (first DC + CH2), 1DC in same sp, 1DC in each st along side til next ch2-sp. * {1DC-CH2-1DC} in ch2-sp, 1DC in each st along side til next ch2-sp. Rep from * 2 more times. SS in third CH to connect. Fasten off yarn. [4 sides of 218DC and 4 times a CH2-sp]
Round 10 : Take Color A (C) and attach it in any ch2-sp. CH1 (doesn’t count as st), * {1SC-CH2-1SC} in ch2-sp, 1BPSC around each st along side til next ch2-sp. Rep from * 3 more times. SS in top of first st. Fasten off yarn. [4 sides of 2SC/218BPSC and 4 times a CH2-sp]
