This pattern has been on my list for two years. I made several prototypes to see how it would turn out – often with the result of throwing it in a box and never seeing daylight again. Still, the idea behind this pattern kept me picking it up again and again. And finally, here is the result, which I can get my permission on to show the world. Meet Misty Mornings. A mosaic crochet pattern that tells the story of walking in the forest on a very early winter morning. Watching the first glimpses of light peeking through the branches of the tall pines above your head. Waves of mist are rolling over the mossy grounds, slowly vaporizing into the tin air by the rays of the freezing winter sun. I have made a cushion out of two tiles; of course, this pattern could used in many ways as a square can be multifunctional.

Some general information about the pattern:
Yarn Requirements: I used Scheepjes Catona in different colors. Scheepjes Catona is available in balls of 10/25 and 50 grams, with a length of 125 meters for a ball of 50 grams. You can buy this yarn in smaller amounts, which will save you some money. The given amounts are totals for two tiles to make the cushion. If you would like to know the amounts for one single tile, just cut these amounts in half.
Colors and amounts used for two tiles:
Color A: colorway 110 Jet Black (250 grams needed – 625 meters needed)
Color B: colorway 391 Deep Ocean (60 grams needed – 150 meters needed)
Color C: colorway 528 Silver Blue (40 grams needed – 100 meters needed)
Color D: colorway 402 Silver Green (40 grams needed – 100 meters needed)
Color E: colorway 172 Light Silver (40 grams needed – 100 meters needed)
Color F: colorway 105 Bridal White (50 grams needed – 125 meters needed)
Color G: colorway 106 snow white (20 grams needed – 50 meters needed)

Crochet hook needed: In this pattern, you will use a 3,0mm hook for the entire pattern.
Size: One finished tile will be 47 x 47 cm / 19 x 19 inches
The finished cushion will be 50 x 50 cm / 20 x 20 inches
Other materials needed: When making a cushion, you need a cushion filler to fill the cover-up, in the size 50 x 50 cm / 20 x 20 inches.

This is also the last pattern Tineke tested for me two years ago. So with this pattern, an era comes to an end as well. It is once again a confronting moment to realize we have already missed her for such a long time. However, she will be remembered and honored for her crochet and the community around us.
In loving memory….Tineke Tap.
